Phenix City Arts Council Building
The goal of the Phenix city Arts Council is to increase awareness and provide experiences in the arts for our community and to make art an ongoing and affordable experience for all ages.
Phenix City Arts Council encompasses many different discliplines of art. We pride ourselves on the accomplishments we have made by giving art lessons, in many media, to both children and adults. We are funded in part by the state legislature in order to further our attention to the children.
Some of our media are: acrylics, oils, photography, basketry - including pine needle basketry, ceramics, jewelry - including design, stone cutting and metal casting, watercolor, and fiber arts.
Monthly business meeting at 7 PM on 1st Thursday of the month.
JULY MEETING WILL BE HELD JULY 8 DUE TO THE 4TH OF JULY HOLIDAY.
Open studio for the beginner to the advanced - 2nd & 4th Sun, 2 - 4PM;
In June, we will have open studio on Friday nights, also.
Drawing, Painting, Acrylic, Oil, Watercolor? Just name your medium. We also have a Photography Darkroom, Pottery, Stained Glass just to name a few. Bring your passion we have a spot for you. So come join the fun.
Help or critique also available then.

Tuesday morning: Watercolor – Ralph Taylor – 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM- $120 per month – payable first Tuesday of month –

This class is currently full. Call to see when openings are available.
More classes may be offered as demand warrants.
Friday Night Teens are taking a break until July.
Kid’s classes: Drawing and painting 1:30 PM to 4:00 –
$12 per day, includes supplies. They do not have to show up every day. Cindy Hardin – for info – 706-289-7186 or just come in.
