Phenix City Arts Council Building
The goal of the Phenix city Arts Council is to increase awareness and provide experiences in the arts for our community and to make art an ongoing and affordable experiencefor all ages.

Phenix City Arts Council encompasses many different discliplines of art. We pride ourselves on the accomplishments we have made by giving art lessons, in many media, to both children and adults. We are funded in part by the state legislature in order to further our attention to the children.

Some of our media are: acryllics, oils, photography, basketry - including pine needle basketry, ceramics, jewelry - including design, stone cutting and metal casting, watercolor, and fiber arts.

The Phenix City Arts Council is an All Volunteer Origination, We provide Painting Classes for one and All. We teach Kids class for home schooled as well as any one else who would like join in on the fun. For Adults we have Monet Wanna Be’s, Tue 1 - 5PM. Open studio for the beginner, to the advanced “Wed Night 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, 2nd & 4th Sun 2 - 4PM”. Drawing, Painting, "Acrylic, Oil, watercolor"? just name your medium. We also have a Photography Darkroom, Pottery, Stained Glass just to name a few. Bring your passion we have a spot for you. So come on down and join the fun.

Adult oil painting classes- Tuesday afternoon 1p.m. to 3 p.m. or Wednesday mornings 10 a.m. to noon. Beginners to advanced students are welcome. Call Lilliane Nublat for information at 205-296-6060.

Kids Classes-Drawing and Painting – The month of June, every Thursday and Friday morning 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Clay hand building – July, every Thursday and Friday Morning, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Cost for both - $12 per day or $80 for full month. Call Cindy Hardin to sign up at 706-289-7086.
